I went to Chick-fil-a after reading many reviews about others successful gluten free and dairy free experiences. I know I was supposed to go at a time when they weren’t too busy and speak to a manager. My dad and I came in on a rainy day at about 4:30pm which was perfect. No one was in line and I immediately asked the cashier if I could speak to the manager. She went and got him and proceeded to explain my allergies. Now what happens next was my favorite part of the whole visit. He admits that he isn’t as well informed about that as someone else working and he would like to go get her. Perfect! Not many people will admit when they are unsure, but he did and immediately brought out someone that was more knowledgeable about it!
Once the lady came out I was beyond impressed. She was going to make sure it was all taken care of and what is even cooler about Chick-fil-a is they can print out any of the ingredients for any of the menu items right at the register and it just prints out on the receipt! It was so fast! She helped me pick out the grilled chicken nuggets and the fries which are fried in a dedicate fryer not with the chicken! I was thoroughly impressed and she made sure they didn’t start my order till she went back there to inform them of the situation. She told me it would take a few extra minutes, but I am used to this and was completely okay with that!
We also determined based on the quick ingredient print outs available that I could have the bbq and honey mustard. Once the food was brought out I was pretty impressed, especially for fast food. The chicken was all white meat chicken breast and the fries were perfect. I loved all the sauces and the ketchup packets they have there are awesome! Definitely a place to check out if you have celiac disease and food allergies, but I’m sure experiences will vary by location so make sure to talk to your Chick-fil-a.
Free refills on the lemonade too!
