Now I know I just did a blog post, but I was lucky enough to be contacted by Namaste to expand my review of their product line! Now as I mentioned before what I love about these products is not only are they gluten free and dairy free but they are completely allergen free! Along with even being potato and corn free as well! They are a super pure product with few ingredients which are my favorite.
Now I got sent a nice swag bag filled with Namaste products last week filled with a cookie mix, Home-style seasoning mix, a Taco Fiesta Meal, and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. I have finally tried the three products in my swag bag that I haven’t tried before. I have actually tried the cookie mix before and reviewed it in my previous blog post.
Now the first product I tried was the Homestyle seasoning mix. Now what excited me about this was it seemed like a shake and bake but without the gluten! Pre-celiac days I was a big fan of shake and bake so I was super excited to try this. I decided to buy thinly sliced boneless skinless chicken breast and fry them in my pan. I followed the easy directions on the back of the box. First I dunked the chicken in unsweetened almond milk and then filled the shaker bag with the mix and shook each piece of chicken in there. The mix got coated on nicely and fried up really nicely in my pan. I made enough for the whole family and everyone loved it! In fact it was so well liked everyone is begging me to make it again this week. I will definitely be purchasing the other flavors they make of seasoning mix to give a try. You can even coat vegetables with this mix so it is super versatile.
The next week though we got to try the Taco Pasta Quick and Easy meal. What’s great about this is that you can really get creative. The mix can be used to make anything from a full meal, soup, and to even just a side dish. What I decided to do though was first cook the pasta then into a skillet I added pre-cooked carnitas meat, corn, the seasoning packet, and the cooked pasta. Stirred that all together and dinner was served. My dad and I devoured this it was so good. We loved how spicy it was and he mentioned that I should make one of these mixes for my grandparents when we go visit. I’m thinking the Pasta Primavera would be a good one to try since it is less spicy than this one and my grandma could handle it.
Now these mixes are available at grocers all over the US. I tend to get them from my local Whole Foods since they tend to have a pretty good variety. They are also available online at various grocers. Make sure to check out their website to see all their products. Below I also linked all their forms of social media you can check them out at and follow for updates on upcoming products!
